Chocolate Fudge Pudding
3oz S.R. Flour 2 level tbsps cocoa powder pinch salt 4oz butter 4oz caster sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla essence 1-2 tablespoons milk to mix 2 tbsps chopped nuts (optional)
Sauce
4oz brown sugar 2 level tbsps cocoa powder ½ pint hot water
Cream butter and sugar. Sift in flour, cocoa and salt gradually with eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon into well- greased 2 pt baking dish. Make sauce by combining ingredients. Pour over the sponge mixture. Place at once, just above the centre, in pre-heated oven (375F/180C/Gas Mark 5).
Bake for about 40 mins.
